Hopefully showing some of the distinctive features of Victorian Railways' trestle bridges. Note the diagronal braces slant downwards toward the centre of the curve.

Aye, you should move the missus and dogs out so that they do not mess up the project. Some hard sacrifices will have to be made. Ok, let the missus in to cook and then back to the shed again!!

I have hard copy drawings for NG trestles of varying pile spans, and have been provided some scans of BG bridges. Will confirm with the donator that it's OK to send through some scans which should be a start.
Myrtleford's a great spot. Good luck with it, and am keen to hear how you go.
Andrew, I agree that this site is astounding, the detail is terrific. I noticed that you have modelled a "swing door/Tait" consist, and that is exactly what I wish to do (returning to modelling after 40 year hiatus). Where would I be able to obtain some basic drawings of these to start with? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Regards

The Victorian Model Railway Society published a book of plans some years ago, though the editions were limited and the books are hard to come by. Peter J Vincent has good copies of the original VR plans at his site, entering his name on a search engine should take you straight there. If you have any problems let me know and I will run you off a copy of the ones I have.
